this post gets to be written in many colors, because it reminds me of the ride at disneyland, it's a small world after-all... that it is and its a world of many colors.. :)




DISNEYLAND, CALIFORNIA!!!!!


hold up, did someone say disneyland? yesss, i did!! after we had some great times at the beach MORE great times were about to happen... we had the next two days planned out for quite some time now and as much as i was so excited to see the california coast, i was even more excited to take kambria to disneyland and surprise her.. the first day we went(monday) was my birthday and it was the best birthday ever.. seeing her face glow when she finally realized where we were going..
she's been asking to go to disneyland for over a year now..and her smiley face changes to a sad frown when i tell her "not yet, sometime when berlyn gets a little bigger"... she is so into all the fairies right now and all the characters that we figured this is the PERFECT time ever...
some say she may not remember it... well she remembers the moment and let me tell ya it was a bigg freakin moment for her :D and she still remembers it ;)... we will have pictures to always keep that memory special..


we woke up early monday morning and had everything packed and ready to go.. we told her we had to leave for the beach early so we could go walking on the beach and to see the whales.. she was excited.. not as excited as she was when we were at disneyland, tho!.. soo here were off to go hop on the tram to get to disneyland..and she still thinks were headed to the beach!

i tried to get her to wear tennis shoes..BUT she thought we were going to the beach and she wanted her toes to be in the sand she said.... cant blame her..


we all got on the tram, there were so many people waiting to get on, she was looking around, asking question after question about why there were so many people, why we had to get on the tram to go to the beach, why we didnt bring her sand toys with us on the tram and why we didnt have our bathing suits on...
WOW GIRL... i tried to answer each question so she wouldnt get suspicious and still believe we were headed to the beach... my stomache was in knots the whole tram ride.. it was like i was headed to my interview or my wedding day... i was so anxious to get there and surprise her with the best surprise yet for her.... 


the questions didnt stop... until..............
drum roll...
the tram driver said "WELCOME TO DISNEYLAND RESORT"

she said.. "Mom, where are we???"


she knew, she just wanted to make sure.. look at the smile, you can see it across the united states! 
i said."where do you think we are?"... of course she said, "DISNEYLAND?" and then it happened, she was the happiest girl EVER..and couldnt wait to get inside.. the tugging and the pulling in every direction didnt until our two days of disneyland ended..and when i saw two days i mean TWO FULL DAYS... the first night, we went back to our hotel for dinner, josh stayed with berlyn to bathe her and get her to bed while kambria and i headed back to the park.. the first night she lasted until 10:30 pm... until she fell asleep in line waiting for indiana jones... the second night her and josh left the park at 12:15AM...
we are disenyland die hearts my friends :)

when we got into the park it felt like you left reality and really went to the happiest place on earth.. so many smiling faces, so many different people, SO MANY people and with each unique place to visit..tomorrow land, fantasy land, critter country..etc.. it was pure bliss and i was so glad to have josh and the girls with me to feel it all and embrace it.

we didnt stop.. the fun never ended and kambrias smile never got wiped off of her face... 
we went from end to end.. over and over.. ride after ride.. walking after walking, meeting after meeting, churro after churro :)


bliss... like i said before. berlyn must have known we were at the happiest place on earth because she was the happiest baby on earth :) it was so easy with her right along.. and a score for kambria, we would do a 'baby swap' some rides would give us a blue card to hold which would let kambria go up with either josh or i, ride the ride come back down, get the other one who didnt go the first time and hop on the ride again :) orr some of the rides let us all wait in lines together and just do the switch right when the ride got back...
she got DOUBLE the fun...

as much as everyone knows what a big baby and scardie cat i am... 
when the pirhannas came out to give us a visit i jumped and screamed and last thing i knew i was on the floor... along with kambria... and berlyn started crying cause we scared her.. :( poor babIES... :)  and yah folks, imma talkin about the jungle cruise where everything isnt real... buttt what the heck, those snappers were still scary, fake or not!

nts we had there together and alot of everyones 'firsts' it is so nice to do it as a family and make memories..
cant wait to go back when berlyn is big enough so she can enjoy it even more.. i am sure big sissy will show off on showing her around and explaining to her about the rides.


as much as i was sad to leave disneyland, when we left those gates it felt nice... 
we accomplished a family vacation all together..
and gosh golly we walked the heck out of our feet and i was ready to get some REST for those puppies!!

Alas, Santa Monica, Ca we meet again..

it was BEAUTIFUL everywhere we went...
we headed to Santa Monica for a day to meet up with my best friend, Stephanie and her husband Kevin.. Steph is 8 months prego and looking nothing but FANTASTIC..

josh, the girls and i enjoyed strolling down 3rd street, having some snacks at starbucks and just enjoying the nice weather and being together :)

(Lindsey... I noticed my toes looking a little..okay well ALOT creepish and fingerish like... I just didnt want to point it out and take the focus off of the MAIN picture... butttt since you did, here ya'll are.... LOOK AT MY TOES...AHHHH....they'll eat you alive...hahahaha love ya lin)

Bubba Gumps is seriously the BOMB... we chowed down like there was no tomorrow...
you know what they say.. live like today is the last day, or somethin like that?..

Ok so steph looks amazing .... i dont know what they feed her back home, but it looks to me like she needs to eat more..haha because well im looking just as pregnant as she is ;)...


and berlyn is already diggin aunty steph holding her and playing with her.... shes got the right stuff, babyyy..

after lunch we ventured off for some pier fun! <3

so after our BOMB lunch...off to the pier it was.

these little pier rides were just getting kambria ready for disneyland rides ;)

and as you can see here... they shouldnt have let josh on...he is entirely TOO small to ride this ride... im surprised he didnt slip out.......

kambria is a pro at posing for pictures....
it just comes so....naturally ;)

the fun didnt stop here though... let me tell ya.. because when we arrived back to our hotel..
GRAMMIE WAS THERE!....

and kambria wanted some "Grammy and Kambria time".. which meant, just them two, at the pool and spa together..

We snuck out to snap some pictures of my litle fishy swimming in her sea and some pictures of her and grammie at 'grammie time' lemme just tell ya, girl wasnt too happy..

her getting our of the pool, wrapping up in a towel and heading back to the room saying "ill just meet you guys at the room" for sure SAID IT....
she was mad we interrupted her time with grammie.... i told her i just wanted to take some pictures, guess that wasnt allowed either....

so we had to leave after we snapped a few more pictures...

my girls are both growing up so quickly right before my eyes... its just crazy to me..
as much as i wish it would slow down.... i sometimes want to just let it be because i am enjoying watching them grow and sprout into their own little selves..
its a rockin ride!



of course they had to act like big babies... because well just having a little baby doesnt do it right, we need two more ;)

and this is where our vacation started, all of our toes in the sand together... the first time our feet all sunk into the sand together, the first time we experienced the california coast as a family <3

im not even sure where to begin, our trip was nothing but AMAZING and my family is nothing but AMAZING...the drive....well the drive there was less than amazing ( haha ) we chose to drive at night, so the girls can sleep..when we went to las vegas in june, our planned worked out great.. this time, not so much. berlyn slept 5 hours out of the 14 hour drive we made... which lead josh and i to be up for LONG HOURS... i cant even tell you how many, it was exhausting. we were ALL so happy to reach our hotel.. lemon tree.

my sissy came and spent the night with us friday night..i always love sister time :) the next day, we ventured off to newport beach, ca... what a blast!

these cool chicks are too cool for the beach..
naahh, they were the perfect little beach babes i've ever seen.

kambria and the sand... oh my goodness, she couldnt get enough of it ;) i couldnt get enough of watching her play in the sand, soaking up all those sun rays and beach waves.

she felt free as a bird, she spread her wings wide and just flew in the wind...like a peaceful bird, gliding along..
she is my free bird..young with a heart full of gold, ready to pour out.

....................and ready to be buried into the sand ;)  we spent all day there, when it was time to leave she said.."I thought we were spending all day here?"..time flies when your having fun!

this was her making 'cupcakes' and they were sure tasty.

i guess being in the sand and having the ice cold ocean splash on you puts you in the mood for action model posing... and the posing didnt stop here.

josh and i took turns running out in the ocean with her, jumping over wave after wave, splashing water everywhere, twisting and twirling around, tryin' to boogie board...you know, all the fun stuff you do at the beach.

and little snuggle bug... aww little snuggle bug got so wore out she was ready to be wrapped up for a nice nap on the beach..which she slept for an hour..
how did she get wore out?

thats how. by being the cutest baby on the beach. she was the happiest little bean ever.. she LOVED the sand in her toes and for some reason thought the water splashing up over her feet and legs was hilarious.

and that? well that was our super cool beach tent..that worked WONDERS...which i cant wait to use again.. at the river, park, beach, camping, anywhere we go.. it was great for all of our stuff and for some nice shade and cool-down section.

as much as we all loved the beach, we are sure digging sand out of the car, stroller, towels, etc.. i sure dont miss the sand being EVERYWHERE..and never ending...and so scratchy.. and who am i kidding, you cant go to the beach and NOT play in the sand, so it's like a whole package deal... you either book the flight and room together or you dont save.. you either get lemon with your water or it isnt delish water..you either gain all the weight you can when your pregnant or your not living.. you either get that extra scoop of ice cream or have none at all.. :) get it? .. ill take the sand with the beach any VACATION day... but, not just ANY day..
